DATE: Sunday 11/15/26  TIME: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

FOR ALL AGES  |  NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED

FREE FOR MEMBERS; FREE WITH ADMISSION FOR NON-MEMBERS

Demonstrations start at 11 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm in the Edible Garden Building, but feel free to join us anytime!

Join the PA Flax Project for a hand-processing demonstration! Learn how locally grown flax is transformed from retted straw into “gold” spinnable fiber. See traditional hand tools in use as you follow each step of the process and reveal the beautiful fiber within. Learn how flax can provide a sustainable option for knitted and woven textiles and bio-composites.

The event will also feature a natural dye component led by Meg MacCurtin from Chosen Tweed in Media. Meg will demonstrate the art of using natural dyes to bring color and life to plant-based fibers.
