Hike the 1.7-mile Pink Hill Trail and experience one of Tyler's most varied landscapes. Walk through quiet woodlands, cross the rare restored Serpentine Barrens, pass the American Chestnut Nursery, and pause for views from the top of Pink Hill. This moderately challenging hike includes hills and uneven, rocky terrain and is best suited for hikers who are physically fit.
What to expect:
• Check in at the Visitor Center and meet your guide
• 2-mile, moderately paced hike with stops to admire the scenery
• Walking surfaces that include pavement, grass, gravel, and rocky trails
• Moderate hills and uneven, rocky terrain
What to wear and carry:
• Dress in layers for the weather
• Hiking boots or shoes with good tread
• Insect repellent; please apply at home
• Water and snacks
• Hiking poles (if you use them)
