The Tyler Arboretum Trail Challenge returns for its second year! From September 4 through December 31, explore all six of Tyler’s trails, complete the 17 Mile Finish and experience more of the Arboretum with every visit. 

The challenge is free to join and can be completed at your own pace. Finish it in a few ambitious hikes or take it one trail at a time throughout the season. 

How It Works 

1. Register for free: Choose your free registration here to officially join the 2026 Tyler Trail Challenge.
2. Get your Trail Tracker Passport: Download and print your passport at home or pick up a copy at the Visitor Center.
3. Hike all six trails: Complete all 17 miles by December 31 and record your progress in your passport. Hike on your own, with friends or as a family. Please note: Trail distances begin at the trail gate outside the deer fence, not at the Visitor Center or parking lot.
4. Turn in your completed passport: Bring your passport to the Visitor Center by December 31, 2026, to receive your 2026 Finisher Sticker and be entered into the grand prize drawing. 

Registration Is Free. General Admission Still Applies. 

There is no additional fee to participate in the Tyler Trail Challenge. Regular Arboretum admission is required each time you visit to hike:
