Begin your soil-building journey by learning how to build a compost pile, how to brew compost tea, and so much more. From the science of decomposition to a deep dive into the center of a compost pile, this class is for anyone with a passion for gardening.

About your instructor: Bess Trout is the Senior Gardener for Lucille’s Garden, and she brings over fifteen years’ experience in horticulture and land management to the science of growing a healthy garden. As an admitted “soil nerd,” there is nothing she likes more than digging into how to create the perfect environment for plants to thrive.
